As people get older, keeping up a yard gets harder. For some, it turns into one more reason to worry about staying in the home they love. Mighty Mac takes that worry off their plate. We handle the mowing and trimming so a well-kept yard is one less thing a senior has to manage on their own.
We keep our work close to home. Mighty Mac serves Bird Island and the area right around it, and that is how we plan to keep it: local, steady, and personal.

Who qualifies
Residents age 64 and older living in the retirement community in Bird Island. If you are not sure whether you qualify, just ask.
What it costs
Nothing for most residents. For anyone who is able to contribute, we offer the same work at a reduced cost. No one is turned away over money.

The founder
How Mighty Mac started
Mighty Mac People Helping People Inc was founded by Bob McKinsey. Bob started mowing lawns for the older folks around Bird Island back in December 2019, and the organization grew out of that. The idea behind it was simple. The seniors who have lived here for years should not have to worry about their yards.
The work has stayed steady and personal ever since. Yards get done on a regular schedule, and the people we help know who is coming and what to expect. It is a small operation, and that is on purpose. It lets us do the work well and stay close to the neighbors we serve.
