Mighty Mac People Helping People Inc keeps the yards of older residents mowed, trimmed, and cared for — at no cost, or reduced cost, for those who need the help. One person, doing honest work, for the neighbors around him.

Our Mission

Free or reduced-fee lawn care for people age 64 and older living in a retirement community in Bird Island, Minnesota.

For many older residents, keeping up a lawn becomes difficult or unsafe long before they are ready to leave the homes they love. Mighty Mac People Helping People Inc exists to close that small but meaningful gap — so a well-kept yard is never the reason someone feels they can no longer stay in their own home.

The work is deliberately local. We serve Bird Island and its immediate area, and we intend to keep it that way: close to home, reliable, and personal.

About Bob

Mighty Mac People Helping People Inc is run by Bob McKinsey, one person with a mower and a simple idea: the older folks in his community shouldn't have to worry about their lawns. Bob started the work in December 2019 and has kept at it since — quietly, one yard at a time.

There is no crew and no office. Just a local resident of Bird Island who shows up, does the work well, and moves on to the next yard. That's the whole organization, and that's the point.
